Any guys carry a Lady Smith?

I would carry the LadySmith without any second thoughts. If the gun shoots accurately and is reliable, it does not matter what it says on the side of the gun. If I had to use it in self-defense, I don't think the punk trying to kill me would care what it said on the side either.

The 65LS is one of the baddest carry sixguns ever made, and the 3913LS is just about my favorite S&W autoloader. I'd carry either in a heartbeat, Ladysmith or no. I highly doubt that the bad guy is going to laugh at the writing on your gun. Besides, I think the guys with the masculinity issues are really the ones who wouldn't carry a gun just because it says "Lady" on the side.

Pocket carry & hammers

:D You guys think it's too heavy for pocket carry at 20 oz? The Airweights are 15 oz (but less fun to shoot).

Also, I was kinda looking at centennials since I'd probably do some pocket carry, but the 65LS has a hammer. Is it a piece of cake for a 'smith to bob the hammer so it won't be as snag-prone, yet leave it available to cock for SA fire if desired?

However, if you're reaching into a pocket holster for your gun, seems like it could be second nature to just put your thumb near the hammer to prevent a snag.

I figure if the stock rosewood grips get to feeling too small, I can always go with some bigger rubber or wood grips.

I have no issues with my masculinity. I just though it was funny. Sorry if you don't have a sense of humor! :p Now talking about your security in your masculinity, would you carry a hot pink gun if it was very inexpensive, very light, had great ammo capacity, was very accurate, packed a good punch, and highly concealable? I'll stick with my ugly black plastic gun thank you very much.

Hello
I sure would.. At 6'-4"-250 Pounds I am NOT insecure & NEVER have been. Do you really think and assailant is going to be alarmed at the Look of a gun pointed at them? or question if you are a Marty Macho Type?I dont CARE what color, or what is scribed in a sideplate, if it shoot's well, and is priced right, then that is what I buy.. HammerIt.

How is anybody but you going to know if you're carrying let alone what you're carrying????????? Unless you're flashing around.....
My wife has one I've carried on occasion.

I just bought a new S&W model 65LS a couple of days ago. Even though the laser-etched Lady Smith is relatively easy to remove, it doesn't really bother me one way or the other, so I'll probably just leave it AS IS.

I probably will NOT use the 65LS for 'carry' simply because of its weight. I suppose I've become spoiled by my light weight alloy and/or polymer-framed handguns.

LH2 - I had the 442 and sold it for the reason you point out - it wasn't pleasant to shoot. The LS36 satisfied my need of carrying a gun that was lightweight but still be easy on the hands. I plan to stick to semi jacketed wadcutters because I think it's useless to use a load you can't control - but then I'm not a lady that takes recoil well and men probably can tolerate more. I did, and do, find the grips to be uncomfortable. I agree they're lovely but they just don't work - I'm thinking of getting S&W service grips with Tyler T grip adapters. To each his own - I think the gun's a nice addition though to my collection. :)

Hey, Im man enough to say I take my lady with me where ever I go. She never argues with me, she's always in my pants and she is ready to jump at my beckon...she's a perfect lady...wish I could find one like her with softer skin though...and sometimes she can be a little cold.

Just bought a stainless Model 60 Chiefs Special Lady Smith .38sp.

Took it to the range this morning.

I bought it for my wife and after shooting it I want it for myself!

Great revolver...who cares if it says lady smith on the side...

Great post Bob! +1! :D

You forgot to mention that she doesn't nag or complain when you look at or handle other ladies!

Men carrying a Lady Smith?

Men carrying a Lady Smith
It's a gender thing. If your ego tells you not to tuck your gonads [You are afraid of what your friends will say] then don't. I have no problmem with them issueing a Lady Smith in .45 ACP, .41 Magnum and .44 Magnum. I have not fired the other 3 NEW rounds, so I can not speak for them.
