Any Beretta PX4's with high round counts?

Onthefly,

Were you able to look at the locking surfaces? Anything seem odd?

I have not yet. Maybe there will be something glaring, but I'm wondering how much my untrained eye will pick up without a new barrel to compare it to.

Beretta will handle it alright. A buddy of mine cracked the slide on his Inox 92. When he contacted Beretta about it, they said "sure, we'll fix it." $425.00 to install a new slide

The warranty is either 1 or 3 years depending whether you mail in the warranty card.

Off Topic: With another brand I learned it would cost me $78 in shipping to use my "warranty". This was years ago.

Did he tell them he was the second owner? Did they call for authorization before doing the work?

He is actually the first owner. He contacted Beretta about the fix, but never sent it in after they quoted the price, and, quite frankly, I don't blame him. I tend to think, from what I read, that cracked slides on Inox models are more common than carbon steel slides.
