Any 10 gauge fans?

orharry - Ive also got the american arms turkey special in 10 ga sxs. I searched for a long time for a 10 ga sxs that wasnt 100 years old. I don't think there are really any in production currently. I happened to stumble upon mine at a Gander Mountain of all places about 4 years ago. These guns are downright awesome for turkey or anything else for that matter. First animal I shot with mine was a mangy cyote at 70 yards with #5 turkey shot. DRT. I couldn't beleive it. Ive shot many cyotes and it takes a lot to put one down right there. Have a buddy that was there as witness. Lot of our other hunting friends wouldn't beleive it till they got the story from both of us.

I have a BPS 10 GA. I still duck/goose hunt with it from time to time. When I don't have to carry the heavy thing in it's okay....but I take my SBE anytime I have to walk to the pit. I tried to turkey hunt with it once but I can't handle the Mag turkey loads. It's a beast. I shot it sitting on the ground with my back against the tree and about seperated my shoulder.

hope you get that job mike,,not a good time to be without,,fur sure

misterE,,that's funny cuz i did about the same thing,,,my ol huntin pardner and i broke out on a haul road one afternoon and up ahead of us was,,you guessed it ol wyly,,i had 6's in both tubs,,so real gently i broke the ol gal open and slipped in(mind out of the gutter here) a pair of buffered copper 2's,,,i guess ol wyly was about 70-75 yrds,,,,knocked him off his feet about 5feet sideways,,he never moved,,,you're right DRT,,i still laugh at my buds expression,,,his mouth hangin open,,,all he said was holly sh,,,,t that thang should be illegal,,,,LOL,,we still get a good laugh about that one

all i got to say is them 3 1/2" arm breakers aint got nuttin on them big 10's when it comes to killin

this one of mine really likes federal buffered copper

i have had it for prolly 20 years,,,got it new,,i wouldn't take 3 times what i payed for it

Its good to see other fans of the big 10. Most people around here have never even seen one.I need an 8 gauge now. Lol. Off the tangent, I have a 3rd interview next weds. All three for the same job. Its worth it, but the waiting is killing me.

I have a buddy with a SXS and a single shot 10. When it comes to be goose killing time the 12 guage simply doesnt compare. Those shoulder fired cannons are really amazing guns.

I would love to have an SP-10 for shooting geese but then I would have to buy another gun for upland birds so I will likely end up shooting a 3.5" 12 guage for my next goose gun but someday I will be able to afford several shotguns and I will definitely have a space in the safe for a 10.

Currently the only 10 I have is my truck gun. Single shot Stevens cut to 18" + a little. It also serves double duty as my range commando shutter upper.

I am looking for a reasonably priced 10ga sxs though.

Yeah, I want to get one. I have a lot of shotguns, but not a 10 in the bunch. Probably get something simple like an H&R single. Just something to have fun with once in a while. I see plenty of 10 gauge shotshells at Academy, so ammo is no problem.
