Another Dream Rifle Thread

It might be time for another.

Here's two of mine:

1)A Synthetic stocked pumpaction in .45-70 with Ghost Ring and taclight. 20" barrel.

2)A kalashnikov type action using 5.56mm with an M16 type magwell, Super Vepr type stock and fluted barrel. Good QC.

A Browning High Power rifle when they were produced by FN in Belgium. I don't care what cailber, they were beautiful rifles.

1. H&K USC that takes Thompson Mags.

2. M1 Carbine-type rifles in popular pistol calibers, especially 10mm and .45ACP.

3. Daewoo DR-200/K2 rifle made in the US.

4. 4MW Portable phased-proton rifle with multiple beam divergence settings for different ranges. Sorry, feeling a little Star Trek here.

.454 Casull lever action take down in stainless with synthetic furniture.
.308 short barreled autorifle with a folding stock - FAL pattern and in stainless.
.223 plinker autorifle like an M96 but with a short barrel and of course in stainless...
A inexpensive but good quality rifle like a Rem 700 fluted bull barrel, in .338 Lapua Magnum. In Stainless.

And last - an M41A Pulse rifle.

Shin-Tao, a "synthetic stocked pumpaction in .45-70 with Ghost Ring and taclight"??

Are you planning on clearing a warthog burrow? ;)

1. A reliable double-express rifle in something like .470 Nitro at (here's the kicker) an affordable price...say, no more than 2x or 3x what a Model 70 would cost.

2. A Browning semi-auto with extended detachable mag, chambered for .458 Win. (A few HAVE been converted to .458!)

3. An M1 Garand in .30/06, converted to take 20 round BAR magazines.

4. Whatever the Government decides next is bad.

I can't remember what the round I fired was, but I think it was .44 Rem Mag WW Super(is that right?). Anyway, I was really impressed with that in a handgun, and I think it would be an excellent semi-auto carbine round for deer hunting. Thing has almost as much powder as a .308, but has more typically handgun round traits, so it's a good tradeoff of killing power and safe range limitations...

I'd also like to see an AK type weapon, or something similar to the Galil/M96 chambered for 6mm PPC, or a very similar round that can fit in AK mags.

I'd like to see that same round put into a SAW, and then of course to own that.

What I want more than any gun though, is to see that evil mag restriction BS "law", that Bill Ruger helped betray us with, repealed or expire..

Yeah i'd like to see a better AK in 223.. even though the mak series wasn't bad. maybe a blackened stainless reciever and a chromed bore with a shell casing buffer permanently attached to the reciever. Low profile holo sight (like a Tasco optima) ......and a selector switch ;)

I'd like to see a more affordable double as well. Maybe pedersoli can take their 45/70 double and re-tool it for a .470???

I'd like to see a magnum length savage action say .375 H&H in stainless.

I'd also like to see an M1 Carbine with the "planet of the apes stock" (I'm funny that way).

A Savage 1899A or B, .32-40 or .38-55, 100% condition, perchbelly stock, 28" barrel, gold sight, tangent rear sight, with factory engraving and factory leather case.

Only about a dozen are known...

just dreaming

Action = Dakota model 70.

Barrel = Shilen select match ss, [30 inch tube] - chambered in 404 Chyeanne.

Stock = McMillian. [benchrest]

Trigger = Timmney

Optics = Leupold 8.5 + 25 - 30mm tube - target dot reticle or Springfield Armory 3rd generation [Mil dot reticle] set in Iron brigage armory's base & rings. Also, recoil lug made by same company.

Harris Bi-pod.

This would be a set up for a long range base weapon. this caliber would be good out to 1800 yards +.

Cost @ 5000.00$
