ankle holster

Does anyone have any experience with a Makarov in an ankle holster? If so, which ones? What did you think? Thanks

The best pocket carry holsters I've ever
found come from RJ Hedley. I have the rear pocket models for my Seecamp and my Guardian. (He also makes a good front pocket holster if that's what you want.) The rear pocket holster has an "anti-print" panel, so it looks just like a wallet in your pocket. But, when you draw, the panel "spreads" and latches onto the inside of your back pocket. Out comes your pistol and it's holster stays in your pocket. You can get your pistol out fast. He makes them for most small autos. I always have him cut down the anti-print panel on my holsters .25 inch. They hide a little better and I find that I can draw a little faster. (Maybe your back pockets are a little deeper than mine and you won't need the quarter inch "cut-down". I wear mostly jeans or Chinos.)

Wow, sounds like some pretty tight jeans if you got "made" with a P32

I've got an Apache ankle holster and an Uncle Mike's #1 pocket holster for my P32.

The apache's great, but I'd prefer it to be higher on the calf. I sit a lot, in meetings, legs crossed sometimes, and you can see the very tip of the bottom of the holster.

As for the UM#1, if you cut open the stitching on the top of the "flap" under the grip, you can put your spare mag there, and when in your pocket, it looks like square object (palm pilot, gameboy color:) ) and nobody'll know. There's also the desantis GunHide, that looks like a palm-pilot case. I have one, but I use it just for transportation, since I work with a bunch of techie geeks. If I wore it here, they'd all wanna know what kind of palm I had, wanna see it, etc... and I'd be SCREWED!

Eagle and BlackHawk industries both make an ankle holster that holds a spare mag as well. The gun is upside down for some reason. It looks fairly neat though.

Good luck.

WHEN WEARING T-SHIRT ONLY

My gun always shows.

Thanks KR for that Hedley tip (I've heard of him, and it's all good).

I have a Hedley back pocket holster on me right now. I forgot to tell you that, with a holster, you can purchase one of his matching pocket magazine pouches. You can slip an extra mag in one and put it in your pocket with no fear of lint getting into your spare mag. It's an inexpensive accessory that works well. I have two.
