Anaconda vs. S&W 629/29

I've been really sick and have not had a chance to shoot it yet:(:(

Hopefully this weekend if the fluid in my lungs stays the hell away I'll get out and run it.

The early Anaconda's had some problems, as mentioned in John Taffin's excellent book on the .44's. I have no experience with them, but have owned 3 S&W M-29's to complete satisfaction...my two sons own two more with similar pride. They're accurate, powerful, look like they should and hold up well to normal use. Some of the silhouette shooting crowd had problems with earlier vintage Smiths due to the number of full house loads pushed through them. For a weekend shooter, a cpl thousand full house loads is not going to shoot a Smith loose...the multiple thousands shot in competition, may. JMHO, Rodfac

.I think Anaconda's can take hotter loads like the Ruger Redhawk. Some ammo producers recommend not to shoot in the 29, or the 629.

I'm personally happy with my cheap ($425) like new blued 5" Redhawk with Hogues, and the stock wood grips. I can't wait to shoot some Buffalo Bore 340g LBT,-LFNGC +P+ out of it (Rated at 1425fps). :D

I don't see either Anaconda, or the 629 on the list of can shoot these
