Ammo Ban in California

California's NRA (Yes, their office is in Sacramento)

What happened to the NRA in California?

Are their embarrassing losses due to bad leadership, or no leadership at all?

ML - What makes you think that the situation in California is due to the leadership of the local NRA?

This is about a misguided idiot in the state legislature proposing a law. How could the NRA keep *that* from happening? They'll fight it if it ever gets out of committee.

...and I'll bet you 100 etherbucks that they'll win! ;)

TBM,

Fight it? Like they did the .50 ban, or the ridiculous restrictions on types of rifles, or the overall hostile attitude toward firearms owners in that state? BTW, a Republican governor signed the ban into law. And the AWB didn't sunset in California.

So I ask again- where is the NRA in California? What are they doing/saying about the issue in this post, and what are they doing to reverse CA's dismal 2A record?

I agree. The NRA seems to have abandoned us here in California. They keep screwing us worse and worse every year and nobody seems to help gun owners protect their rights. I'm about to cancel my NRA membership since they've rolled over on this state and gave up.

Kinda like that stupid law in Md (and now other states) that makes manufacturers shoot a round in your brand new gun and sending it to the state police so that if it used in a crime they can match the firing pin marks on the brass.

My Springfield XD-9 came with a sealed envelope with a shell casing inside. It seems they're saving a bullet for their registry so they can try and track down criminals using ballastic fingerprinting.
