I missed the segment, but this is disappointing.
The one piece of advice I have heard over and over is to never, ever go willingly to a secondary crime scene. Statistically, it is almost certain death.
And, I watched a presentation by a detective once on TV. Sharp guy, big handlebar mustache. Interesting character. He pointed out that if you run, only a small percentage of BG's will shoot. And, if they shoot, only a small percentage of them will hit you. And, if they hit you, only a small percentage of those hits will be serious. And, if they hit you, and it is a serious hit, then only a small percentage of those serious hits will kill you.
However, if you willingly climb into the trunk (as in this example), then you have nearly a 100% chance of being killed at the secondary crime scene.
Made a lot of sense to me. And, if you carry a firearm and know how to use it, and you must use it, then it improve those odds even more. It's harder to hit someone who is shooting back, I suspect ...
It is a damn shame that so much of our 'establishment' seems devoted to encouraging us to act like sheep.
