Amazed By The Kel-Tec P32

jwise asked:

How much does it cost to get it hard-chromed?

Supposedly KT will do it for $20.

But I bought mine with the hard chrome slide at the Bigtown gun show in Mesquite this past weekend for $209. :D I even posted here to alert the D/FW TFL users of this deal.

I'm surprised none of you have brought up the question of accuracy yet. What I couldn't believe with mine was how well I could keep all the shots on a sheet of paper at 25 yards. Usually with a pocket gun you can't do that. Either the trigger will be too crummy, the grip too tiny, the sights nonexistent or the intrinsic accuracy simply not there. Well, of all those I will say the little bump they call a front sight (there's no rear sight to speak of) could definitely use improvement, but regardless I could still actually HIT with it.

My single biggest gripe with pocket guns is the fact that practical accuracy is usually limited to ten feet or less. It's good to see that the Kel-Tec P-32 is an exception to the rule. And no, I am not advocating 200-yard firefights against a rifle-armed adversary, but you never know if you'll have to trade shots across the length of a grocery store aisle while trying to escape from your attacker.

Acme, what holster did you go with for your P-32? I forgot to ask you about that last night.

I'll very likely have to pay more than $209, but that'll be okay as long as I can stay under $250.

The best (IMHO) method of carry for the P-32 spit-wad is using the belt clip with the gun inside the waist band of your pants/jeans. I keep mine behind the belt buckle with the clip tucked in the zipper flap. NO one, absolutely NO one has ever come close to seeing it even with my telling them where it is. Terific back-up and/or primary piece. :D

Behind belt clip..

I dont think I would like ANY gun...even a 32...pointing in THAT direction and that close.... ;)

First, welcome to the forums.
I realize that you didn't ask me, however I carry most pocket pistols in a back pocket design made by RJ Hedley. It makes for a fast draw and keeps things well hidden. Super quality, fair price (I'd say a real bargain!), and fast shipping too. RJ's a great guy to get holsters from. Really easy to deal with, too.

Here's my opinion on carring the p-32.

I keep my p32 in my pocket in a small leather holster. I think it works great for two reasons. One is that the holster eliminates 'printing' of the pistol when your leg lifts up (I usually have on docker type pants). Also, the holster covers the trigger to help prevent it accidentally going off.
Secondly, say your walking down the street and you can see that up ahead is potentially a problem (i.e. a bunch of street-thugs giving you the eye). I can nonchalantly have my hand in my pocket ready to draw that pistol in 1/2 of a second if the need so arises.

- did I mention that I love my p32 yet?

One hundred bucks!

okay, I'm seriously jealous.

Why doesn't anything like this ever happen to me?

You've got yourself a great pistol!

P-32 Accuracy

Friend bought one. I was underwhelmed. Tween the size, lack of weight, trigger pull and sights I figured no way would I be able to shoot it accurately.

Wrong.....very first time I fired it, at ten yards, entire magazine grouped within two inches of point of aim and the group could be covered with a playing card. Bout 12 seconds for the magazine to empty.

Next time out watched the happy owner nailin 8" X 12" target at 68 yards.

This particular one is the plane jane black, been stone reliable from the git go.
