*sniff sniff*

I love my 10/22 but nobody else seems to have one...:(
Thumbhole stock, Volquartsen parts, Magnum Lite barrel. Isn't there anyone else out there with a self-built 22LR???

I've got a plain jane 10/22 with a dot scope. Squirrels beware! Great gun, super accurate. $8.47 a brick at walmart. Now if I could just find preban 50 round ramline mags for a reasonable price.

just a 22?

You own a semiauto rifle,
you are a pistol grip away from owning the most dangerous machine on the planet!

sounds like quite the shooter

i have a marlin m60 SS
not nearly the options fer tinkering

i bought some 60 grain aquila for mine
wump!

Well, I've got a bone-stock Mannlicher-stocked 10/22 that won't shoot s**t (well, it's not a moa gun, really finicky with ammo, but gets game on the table)... and since wife holds 50% of the shares on it, she won't let me fool around with it... so I can only envy yours...:(

Got a Remington 552 "Speedmaster" that cycles .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle. It's a lot of fun, but the lack of recoil almost makes it boring.

Am I the only one with a 22LR

I have a CZ452zkm,best money I ever spend for a rifle,no need for modification to make it more accurate.$145 new.:D
.

I recently got one of those Romanian model 1969 .22 "training rifles" and am having way to much fun with it. Bought it for my boy's upcoming birthday (keeping it hidden until then). At the rate I'm going, it will be even more well-used by the time he gets it. I like the balance and accuracy better than my stock 10/22.

Not my only rifle (will be my boy's only rifle) but its the one getting the most use right now.

Shoot, I may have to get one for myself...

10/22

The 10/22 is one of the most popular .22 rifles on the market today. The standard version may not be the most accurate rifles out there, but the 10/22T might be the most accurate out of the box.

The 10/22 is a good start to a collection. Happy shooting :)

Caught up with a marlin 60 w/ a simmons 3-9x40 scope several years ago for a about hundred bucks. 16 rounds of plinking fun!!! I am allways the last to pack up at the range when with my buddies (who all reload, or spend tons on ammo, and curse the cost of shooting).

I can hit pop cans at 75 yards, and plan on trying it at 100 next time we go to the range.

Of course I have larger rifles, but I can see in my friends eye's that they regret "putting down" the .22 many years ago without even trying it. However, they all wait in line to shoot mine when they are out of their fancy-schmancy, magnum powered, hand loaded, often innacurate, shoulder stomping ammo.

HEHEHEHEHE!!!

one rifle, one shotgun, one carbine?

The only rifle I have is a 10/22T. I also have a Mossberg M590A1 and a MechTech .45 cal carbine conversion for my 1911.

I've got a 10/22, a Nylon 66, Mossberg 12m (belonged to my granddad) and a Western Field model M830 (Mossberg) that outshoots all the others. I bought it and the 66 thirty some years ago while working at a gas station. Seems like once a month or so someone would come in short of cash and have something to sell or trade.

Before I got the fever about two years ago the
only rifle I had was the .22 I inherited from
my father, a Ward's Western Field model that I
assume he bought about 1930. It will shoot shorts, longs and long rifles, which is handy.

Still shoots nice, and it's also still my favorite rifle.

My father is gone now, but I often think of him when shooting. I imagine him in the woods near his home (and not too far from mine) bagging a squirrel or a rabbit for
the pot. They were pretty poor, and I know this
gun put meat on the table lots of times.

That's a really nice story.
I can't help but develop a sappy mental picture most likely provided by some movie I saw ages ago.
Still a really touching story.

BUTCH48,

I remember when those were ONLY $10 NIB, including TAX! The 25's were about the same.. HOTLIP Butler Creek's rock Ramlines though :)

Just bought a used 10/22 this weekend. It is just filled with crud, have it completely broken down at the moment. Deciding what upgrades to get for it.

It is hardly my only gun though. 2 rifles, 2 shot guns, 3 hand guns. Not enough ammo.
