Alternate concealed carry method when wearing a toolbelt?

At first you sound like you work the construction crew but then you make it sound like you run service so I'm not sure, maybe you do both?

Carrying while running service is easy enough with an IWB and a work vest. I never did find a good way to ccw to new construction site so did not and had to depend on a pouch full of hammers and knives to get me by. :D

To each their own, but for the record with the smartcarry the weapon isn't pointed at any part of your anatomy unless you cross your legs or a certain part of your anatomy is bent like a fishing hook.

I just like it because with IWB at 4, 5, and 6 o'clock don't conceal very well for me, and with a regular IWB at 2 o'clock it is uncomfortable to sit up straight because the weapon jabs me in the beer belly.

Difficult to make any reasonable suggestion here without knowing more details - what type of gun does he carry? How does he dress? How physically active is he (while on his job)? What is the overall climate like where he usually works? Does he work around clients/people who might be uncomfortable if they knew he was carrying or does he work primarily on new construction? Does his company allow employees to carry on the job, or does he have to be ABSOLUTELY discrete?

Without knowing more, about all I could recommend is perhaps a belly band holster or an ankle holster, assuming that his choice of firearm and clothing would allow either. (and yes, I know that the OP said "nothing under the shirt since it's tucked," but that is what belly bands are FOR, and the shirt could be slightly modified by adding a couple of pieces of velcro in place of a few buttons to allow it to be easily pulled open to allow for a quicker, smoother draw)

Kinoons- that's an interesting option... just another "bag" hanging from the belt. Very inconspicuous.

NEshooter- thanks as well. That would also be a great option in cooler weather, when working outside.

Edward- to clarify, I kinda do it all- as the owner a small commercial framing biz, I sometimes strap on a tool belt and work (good exercise, and keeps more dollars in my pocket), and sometimes, not...

Dp- see my prior post. I will be carrying a CZ-82.

It's for the times that I am, that an IWB carry will not work.

Far as the nailguns go, I reserve that for chasing terminated employees off the jobsite...:D
