yourang, In many areas if you own a dog of known protective/viscous breeds and do not post the sign and it bites someone, the attorney will say, as they prosecute/sue you, "the owner of this man killer dog failed to warn the nefarious thug that he was gonna be attacked and mauled if they chose to victimize this homeowner"...;) "If only my poor client had been warned...."

For the dog issue... the one I like just says "Notice: Dog on Premises"

"Yessir, Your Honor, that guy should've known there was a dog in my house. But I never thought she'd bite anyone..."

"No illegal weapons allowed!" isn't bad, either... but I'm still not going to post one.

Several new signs went up in town this week. I don't know the reason for them, but I don't mind them.

"NO DISPLAYED WEAPONS ALLOWED"
