All the ammo in Wal Mart, Academy, etc. is gone.

allowing fear to dictate one's actions is rarely a good idea.

are there really people here suggesting hoarding ammo?

good job on getting caught up in the panic buying and depriving some kid a chance to shoot with his dad. jerk.

i hope you didn't test fire that gun before you buried it.

Ah, do you think that they, whoever they are, are going to give you the time to use your GPS and dig up your guns.?

And then load them.

An over reaction to a non-existent problem.

DaxE, if you are truly concerned about things getting so bad you might need to stealthily access your stash; have you stored enough water and food?

chopz,
Hoarding is a meaningless word like greed or gouging. One person's hoarding is another person's prudent action. At what point does prudent storage become hoarding? Is 1000 rounds of ammo hoarding? Is it 10,000 or 100,000 or 1,000,000.

Some liberals consider it greed for a taxpayer to want to pay less than 50% of their income in taxes. Some people consider it gouging for Exxon to make a 10% profit margin.

And I hope you are proud of yourself for depriving that youngster of the joys of plinking with a .22 with his dad. You just ruined a great memory of a child!

Had the same thought when I read this. Honestly, I am really starting to get tired of the hoarders. Sure, its great for the ammo makers to be making tons of money off this, but in the end you're just hurting everyone else. Not everyone can afford to go out and drop a few hundred on ammo just to stockpile it. So I hope you're proud of yourself, you prevented someone from the next generation from enjoying some quality time with Dad, you most likely prevented a few others from enjoying some time at the range, you posted in a forum thats visited by anti's about how greedy some people are, and you proved just how paranoid you are. And for what!? So you can bury it all in your backyard, most likely to never be used? Sad...really sad. Thanks jerk...we could use less people like you.

I think it's pretty obvious that he's just making fun of the current situation and people actually doing things like this.

Ok, all of you folks who are enraged at the thought of cute little Johnny and his dad being deprived of their quality time at the range by mean 'ol DaxE, that he was putting you on?

When I read about the problems everyone is having getting ammo it makes run out and look for ammo. I always hit Wal Mart first and to my surprise they always have shelves and shelves of ammo. Yes, I buy more ammo even if I don't need it. Presently have 15,000 rounds plus.

I was laughing out loud as I read this post...even the wife had to ask me what I was reading and she got a good laugh out of it too

Some of you people need to chill out. Geez, it's obviously a joke about the current buttheads out here hoarding all the ammo because either they're crazy, or they can, and screwing everyone else in the process who just wants to have some fun plinking.

I guess you all would really hate me. I wait outside walmart and rob little johnny and his dad as they come out with their plinking ammo. Then I sell it to hoarders for way more than retail prices.

This johhny situation, though, reminds me of a yard sale I went to last summer. These people had a whole table full of old playstation, sega genesis, and nintendo games (and entire systems)etc. etc. It was all dirt cheap. When I walked up, there was one boy with his mom looking at stuff on the table. I told the lady selling the stuff that I would take everything on the table except for whatever the boy wanted. The boys mother turns to her kid and says "let's go, that guy just bought everything, so there's no point in looking". She said it all mean, too. So I turned to her and said, "Listen, I'll buy everything on the table, and your son can STILL have ANYTHING he wants out of it for free." She still acted mean, so I got down on one knee and asked her boy what kind of systems he had, and what he might want to have for them. I ended up giving him like 4 games, a gameboy case, and a couple memory cards. :D
Then mom didn't thank me....:D:D

I've been "hoarding" ammo for years, not because of paranoia, but its a lot cheaper to buy 1-2K rounds at a time then 50. (I buy most my ammo through mail order)

Since this is only his/her second post, I suspect this is a troll or an attempt to get your dander up....I wouldn't pay too much attention to it...

you guys had better stop saying "hoarding." it's meaningless.

p.s.: i kinda wish i had hoarded a bunch of heating oil before a guy from a texas oil family became president. hindsight, and all that. having a 40% tax rate doesn't help (small business owner here). but then, i also wish i was one of them rich folks who get the better tax rates.

in other words, mello, don't talk about stuff you know nothing about.
