Algore picks Joe Leiberman!

Lieberman because no one else wanted the slot. His choice was Lieberman or some freshman senator. What kind of choices are those? I think Kerrey and Graham saw the writing on the wall, "Bush and Cheney will win." Now the liberal media is making al this noise of how Lieberman distances Gore from Clinton, how Lieberman is a moderate, how it's a bold move, and the rest of the lies. How is Lieberman not connected to Clinton if he voted against impeachment? How is Lieberman a moderate if he's a socialist with an anti-RKBA agenda? And how is this a bold move if Gore had no choice?

Compare the treatment given to Cheney by the media. I think the Bush campaign better come out swinging on this one, lest the sheeple be dulled into submission.

The Gods have spoken, they have decided who will be our next president.

Gores choice was not his decision, it was by those who control, and this choice will gaurantee a loss (we are a nation of bigots).

Daddy George Bush wants his boy as president, and now for sure, it's signed sealed and delivered.

Lieberman has voted for tens of thousands of innocent babies to die in screaming agony... But that's alright with conservatives because he agonized over it before he voted.
This business of Lieberman being a moderate is a joke; He talks moderate, vote ultra-left.

So far, none of the stories that I've seen that describe Lieberman as being "hawkish" or "strong on defense" have linked this aspect of his record to the fact that Connecticut is home to several large defense contractors.

If he were a Republican, what are the odds that his record would be described as "porcish" rather than "hawkish"?

That would be a Porcine Politican.

Waterdog,

I doubt we're a nation og bigots as you say. Sure, some folks are bigots, but most I've met aren't. If Lieberman had Cheney's record I'd vote for him. He doesn't. He's anti-RKBA and that's the only reason I need to vote against him. I could care less what his ethnicity or religion might be.

I think Brett might be right. The article I read on Fox News Online from the AP spent half it's length pointing out that the internet today has been rife with anti-semetic postings.
I have the feeling that no matter what critique we make about this guy were gonna get labeled with the Anti-Semite tag.

Al Gore chose a Jew on purpose, because he wants someone that if we critize them, he can call us anti-semites and marginalize us. It is a really petty move. I happen to like and respect Jews quite a bit, and I have only actually met on right-winger that doesn't like Jews in my entire life....

Lieberman is a terrible choice though. Even with Clinton's overt threats, he's probably going to embarass the establishment at some point. He also is no match for Cheney. Cheney has a better history, and doesn't fold on issues. Cheney knows where Cheney stands, Lieberman will probably just do whatever Gore says he should. With Clinton's little threat in form of compliments, he has indeed tied Lieberman back to himself and therefore Gore. Rush Limbaugh was claiming credit for this, but I have to wonder. At any rate, it's good for America that Gore can't get a circle of associates that is worth electing.

Tecolote,
How do you feel about a nose picker sitting
at a table next to you at your favorite restaurant, and he is doing just that (picking nose) while you are trying to enjoy a quiet meal.

Look up the definition of bigot.

The bozo that ran on the Dem. ticket some years ago also ran for a seat in Texas . Lloyd Benston I think his name was . He lost the V.P. job but kept his seat . Kinda like the dealer giving your money back if you lose the hand .The dems know it's like Cmdr. Ryker on Star Trek said once . "Some days you get the bear . Some days the bear gets you ." This year the GOP is the bear and he's got the Dems .

Waterdog,

I don't know what you're talking about. What someone picking their nose has to do with bigotry is beyond me. And I do know what the word means. Do you?

I didn't say bigots didn't exist. I said that most folks I've met aren't bigots. If you've had a different experience, well that's you.

Now, if you're saying that my not supporting Lieberman means I'm a bigot, then you must work for the Gore campaign, because that's exactly what they're claiming.

What you really should do is ask " Excuse me , do you know how to make a handkerchief dance ?" They will say " No , how do you make a handkerchief dance ?" You reply " Just put a little boogie in it ."

I'm beginning to think that part of the reason for picking Lieberman, was to combat the image of the Democrap Party, as being the "Godless Heathern Party." I think the current debacle with Loretta Sanchez, and the Playboy mansion fund-raiser, adds validity to this theory. What do you think?

KAC556,

Good point.

What the main line press is missing with the Sanchez fiasco isn't that the party is hosted at the Playboy Mansion, which in itself is making feminist wild with anger, but who's sponsoring the party; beer and cigaretta companies. What else could we expect from Sanchez but for her to be supported by peddlers of sex, booze and smokes?

I've just about had it with Lieberman's use of God. It seems that every other sentence he utters has God in it. If I thought him sincere I wouldn't mind, but the repetition has me thinking it's a ploy.

And what about the heartfelt aplogy our glorious leader gave today? Are we supposed to feel bad for him?
