Range Follow-up
We visited the range today. I decided to remove the rear sights from my 9mm Canik Stingray. I had the idea a few weeks ago and it was reinforced this past week while watching a news article about a celebrity at the range alongside her instructor. He clearly advised her to strictly concentrate on the forward sight and align it with the target.
Since I felt my suspicion confirmed I gave it try. I'm by no means a "good" shooter. But at 10 yards I was consistent in my placement. More work is required but the method appears to reduce distraction and focuses on a single point of attack.
Hope this helps.
