ADDICTION!

Badness

Well. I sorta just got into this whole gun thing. I bought my first handgun in October of 2009....It is now April of 2010....and i own 7 hand guns...and 2 rifles...and i just...can't stop buying guns! There's just too many of them that i want!!

Someone help me! :o:o:o

Tell me about it.

I've already got five or six of my next guns picked out. Every time I see a little extra coin coming my way I have to decide what gun I'm getting next.

9 total? You would get laughed out of a gun addicts anonymous meeting. I have met several locally who own HUNDREDS of guns.

Don't worry though, I am not an official addict either yet. One day...

I have to have at least my next twenty guns picked out. I won't be getting many of them for a decade or more, and by then there will probably be new ones I want.

This post just reminded me that I got my Fed. tax refund on Friday and need to get the next gun on my list... Ruger LCP .380

It's the same old story. It starts with an innocent trip to the gun store.Buying one little gun couldn't hurt, could it? Then the trips become more frequent. You tell yourself you can stop any time you want to. But by now, it's too late. You wake up in the morning and realise you can't get thru the day without your guns and ammo fix. I've seen it a million times. Yes,you are a gun junkie and there is no cure. Soon you'll stop seeing your old friends and just hang out with people like you. All you can think about is "9mm or .45ACP, revolver or auto, S.I.G., Glock, or M&P, .300 Weatherby or .300R.U.M?" Another victim brought down by this scorge on humanity.:p

No, it took way over 6 months for most of us .....to get to this point ....

Stuff just keeps following me home .....its not my fault !

But I've cut way back .....in the last 6 months I've only bought 3 ...oh no, 4 ... well and put another one on hold, so maybe its 5 ......I'll let you know tomorrow..

You cant be helped. And here you are asking for help on a GUN forum. You might as well seek advice on a crack habit in a ghetto....

HAHAHAHAHAHA I love it thats rich.

This is all taken as a joke but I do not think we could all just stop buying guns at will unless we where dead broke.

I know exactly how you feel.. these are just my pistols.. you should see my long guns... but i have been at it for 20 years..

no no no. It took most of them a much longer time. The first 9 are really utility, albeit mostly unnecessary utility. I mean you can get to 9 without very much overlap at all. Then it is about collecting/hoarding.

I'm at the dead broke stage right now... :(

remember that old tv show, "Cheers?"

the one with the character who spent so much time at the bar that, whenever he would walk in, the whole bar would say, "Norm!"

well, that's what happens to me whenever i walk into my local gun store.

'cept they use my name, of course. ;)

Uh oh!!

OMG! Me too!!

Is that a sign of a gunaholic?? Or is it just a place where everybody knows your name? :)

I'm new to the gun scene, too. It's quite a shock to me just how much $$ you can put into this. For instance, decided I was going to carry concealed, so:

Paid for my CCW license ($144.25 in Arkansas)
Paid for the CCW class ($90)
Bought a "carry size" gun ($475)
Bought ammunition to shoot at the range to practice with the new gun ($75)
Bought self defense rounds to carry in the gun ($30)
Bought Crimson Trace laser grips for the gun ($170)
Bought IWB holster to carry the gun ($70)
Bought extra mag ($40)

That's over $1000 on this little project, and for me that's a LOT of money. But, the cost of being able to protect myself and my family......priceless.

I have bought 5 since the New Year. Now flirting with 20. Once I break that barrier, it will be easier to keep going.....oh well...

I said I would stop at 24 but still going strong. Only been in it for 1 1/2 years. I have sold over a dozen to get back to the 24 mark!
