Anybody know anything about an Accurate Rifle?

Saw/picked one up (not buy it, picked it up) the other day and the thing weighted a ton.

Could not imagine a 50 cal weighing more than this 308.

They are not a cheap gun.

Is Accurate Rifle a brand or are you referring to the quality of a rifle being accurate?

Never heard of it as far as brands. Long range benchrest "light gun" allows for a rifle up to 17 lbs. Heavy gun class is unlimited in regards to weight.

I saw and held a GA Precision .308 at the LGS a couple months, no idea what it actually weighed but it was the heaviest rifle I have ever held, just a guess but it was probably 14-15lbs.

I saw and held the rifle. It was a model 93AW in 308. The gun must have weighted 15 to 18 pounds. The name on the barrel was Accuracy Rifle.
Searching Blue Book Value of guns, the AE model weighs 8.5 pounds but the AW model has to weigh twice that much. They also list the retail price over $6,000.

Here is print screen from Blue Book Value:
