Accuracy of Unintended Consequences

I've only read a small amount of UC, but I do recall the book made the claim that one of Koresh's infant daughters was killed in his arms by gunfire (he supposedly carried her out out to greet the ATF).

That's a lie. It didn't happen. If Ross got that wrong, I'd be suspicious of the rest.
 
BTR: It's a work of "fiction"; When the author of a work of fiction writes something that differs from the real world, it's usually not considered a "lie".

Do you know what is the Unintended Consequence of the feds murdering INNOCENT men, women and children (this excludes Koresh) at Mt. Carmel? The bombing of the Federal building in OK City. If the BATF had been punished, and its agents imprisoned for attacking a church on a Sunday morning, then OK City would not have happened. To this day, not one federal agent has been punished for wrong doing in the Waco incident. Unbelievable.
 
1. Yup. An ATF agent admitted that he tripped and pulled the trigger on his Sig 228. The story was squelched after that.

2. Yup. Weaver wanted to sell a shotgun and the ATF agents asked him to cut it down to the point they indicated. He did, and they arrested him. They entrapped him in order to force him to infiltrate white supremacists groups on their behalf.

3. Don't know.

4. Yup. One of ATF's first "successes."
 
Wisconsin's senior Senator (Kohl) was also found under similar circumstances long before his election--maybe the early 1970's. He claimed that he was robbed and tied up. No forced entry, lived on 19th(?) floor of high-rise. Newspaper didn't have to draw the picture.
