a serious reminder for saftey

45 ACP is a round that scares me when reloading. 9mm, if you do a double charge, the powder will generally overflow or flow to the top, thereby giving a clue to the observant reloader.

45 ACP has so much space in the case, that you could double charge and not have a clue that it happened. I reload 45 ACP very slowly and carefully.

We know for sure that a double charge will blow up a gun.

We have theories, some of them with big words, that say that a tested, published, and established load will sometimes blow up a gun without warning.

Sorry, but I have to bet on a sure thing and fallible human nature.
I am careful on checking powder charges. I have been loading 9mm with 700X and a vibrator on the powder measure to settle the big flakes into the charge bar. So far, so good, but I am glad I found HP38 in stock and am able to go back to Ball powder.

One reason I love Unique in .45's. 6 grains of that works great....12 grains overflows.

28, I am glad you will be OK. It can happen to any of us. Detonation is a possibility, but I suspect a double charge. One of my own personal rules in reloading is that I will not load a powder bullet combination that allows me to double charge a round. I hate to admit it, but I have tried to double charge a case on many occasions. Had it been physically possible to fit the powder under the bullet, I would have some photos like yours.
