A problem with the wife.

When I paid him for the pistol, I also took a 12pk. of Coke and gave it to his wife.
That is just dang cold-blooded there man.

I second the "need a new gun" group. If you had scuffed one of her diamonds putting your initials on the bottom of one of your handguns, you would have had to replace it to get off the couch/porch.

Come back and talk once you've had to fine detail a Glock 21 to remove pink fingernail polish.

Just grin and bear it, man, grin and bear it.

:)

I'm sure she didn't mean to do it.
I think that's a given. However, it's clear that she did mean to cover it up after she had the accident.

At least the gun wasn't permanently damaged, and it's fortunate that it kept functioning. It would have been more than just an irritation had its service been urgently required only to find that it was inoperative due to dried up beverage residue in the action.

The primary lesson is that self-defense guns should be thorughly checked out on a frequent basis to insure they're still in good working order. You can't stop murphy, but you can try to keep up with him.

The secondary lesson is that people who can't or won't maintain a proper attitude towards the treatment of important tools (like self-defense firearms) shouldn't be allowed to access them.

I'd just ask her to tell you if that happens in the future so you can clean it. Leave it at that. Then go dump a bottle of syrup in her jewelry drawer! :D

My problem with my wife is she is too perfect. I suggested that we need to stock up on ammo just because and she said ok. We'll get one 50 ct box of 9mm and .22lr every 2 weeks. It will add up fast.

Sounds like you and the Mrs. could do well reloading.

Something you two could get into together and enjoy the time spent.

Just a thought.

Keep the gun off of the top of the nightstand, and put it in the drawer IN the nightstand. My wife often puts her junk on MY side of the bed on MY nightstand, so I don't keep any guns on there. I even bought a watch box to keep my watches from her, as I'd find whatever thrown on top of them. Fortunately, nothing was ever damaged, and I never said anything to her, just moved my things, and moved hers off too.

Stuff happens, so keep your valuable/important stuff out of site, and protected.

So... You're saying that you've driven you wife to drinking? Even in bed?
lol, just kiddin.

If that's the biggest problem you have today, you're gonna be okay!

@shortwave

I have thought about reloading but 9mm and 22lr are already pretty inexpensive. We are just limited on funds as I am disabled and am still waiting on a Social Security hearing to see if I am eligible for benefits.

If money wasn't so tight I would probably have a few other calibers and would probably reload. I would love to get a 10mm and a 45.

Will that work? The diamond engraving? Thanks man, great idea...;)
