A life ended before it even really began

LadydeeJ,
Your one simple phrase, "I would have taken him." left me completely choked up. What a difference between a real human being (such as you) and a beast-child (such as that 17 y/o ...).

Why are babies having babies?? They think it is neat and cute, then go off the deep end when they realize the responsibility. They don't realize that you can't just leave the child at home when you want to go out--they need constant care and attention 24/7.

We just had an incident here in Indy about 2 months ago--mom went wacko and drove for ~2 miles the wrong way--killed 3 or 4 of her kids and 3 people from another family when she hit their van head-on!

It's too easy to become a parent.......

I hate cats!
Now with that said I couldn't even throw a kitten in the river.

A child...my God...a small child.

I'm an old man and I've been around the world several times and I've seen a lot of things, but crap like this leaves me speechless and broken hearted. :(

Really, the quote says it all.

Whatever happened to leaving a baby bundled up on the doorstep of a chruch or something?

HukeOKC is right, they can really push your buttons, but there is no excuse for even thinking something like this.

Right about the time my son was born, some nut left her newborn baby in a dumpster. I looked at my son and saw how helpless he was. I cried for two days thinking of that baby. This kind of thing just tears me up.

I agree with Terri, do to these people what they have done. Maybe out of their own (selfish) sense of self-preservation, it will stop happening. Either way, doing something like this to your own child is the lowest of all things I can possibly imagine.

THis makes me sick. There is NO excuse for what she did. I would like to personally beat the s*** out of her. I wish there were special places that would take children that are not wanted, with no risk of finding out who the parent was. Maybe this way kids that don't understand what a life is can drop the kids off somewhere safe where that child will be found a good loving family. There is no reason to murder a child, there are plenty of people out there hopelessly (sp) waiting to adopt, let them have a chance at parenthood. Cindy is right, what happened to leaving a child bundled up at a church? I just don't get it. I too would have taken that child in a heartbeat........

This seems to be going on a lot. We have in our area right now a couple of cases pending that relate to abuse and/or death at the hands of a parent.

And they want MY guns!

And if you hear from my Louise, won't you tell her I love her so?

Im only 23 ...no kids...but it saddens me to the point of crying almost when I hear of crap news like this! This mother should pay dearly! At minimum life with no parole in a maximum security federal prison! Do the crime do the time! This nation needs to be shocked back into getting its act back together!

I was under the impression that the charter of GENERAL DISCUSSION was for any non-firearms post or unrelated post?

I thought I'd seen it all, until a 22WMR spun a bunny 2 1/4 times in the air!
