A gun for all Seasons

Wear a fabric style bandaid on your trigger finger when you go to the range with the 19, after a few trips to the range you shouldnt need the bandaid, that how it was for my wife anyway.

You think you like that 19...wait until you have a chance to try a CZ.

I highly recommend never trying one actually, it'll save you thousands.

B-S hot got it. Sometimes when I was shooting my Rugers my joint below the pad would get irritated and I would put a fabric bandaid on it. I take some meds that affects my skin and joints.
It hasn't happened lately probably because I haven't spent an hour plus at the range shooting like I did with the Glock. Just got carried away and lost all conception of time or use. Each mag got better and better in accuracy.WOW!

Doc Holliday 1950, one day you will have a need for a thing called recoil therapy, that's when you will have a use for your .357's enjoy your new to you Glock.

Geez, Doc, you've gone to the dark side....Coooooooooooooome back before it's too late.

All that said, it took me a full day of range work to get used to the trigger. I was out at Front Sight where I rented one for their 4-day Defensive Handgun Course. It's a simple, effective auto that's got a lot of following for good reason.

All that said, it's still a plastic, soul less gun. Were it not so good at what it was designed for, I'd not have bought one for my wife.

To be honest, I always enjoy the "I've decided Glocks aren't that bad" threads. Mainly because they mirror my own experience with Glocks. My first CC pistol was a Gov't Model 1911. I love that gun, I really, really do, but it was heavy to carry all day.

I've also come to admire the simplicity of the Glock design. I'm not "mechanically inclined," but I can field strip (& successfully reassemble) a 1911. A Glock is markedly simpler, though.

Glocks may be ugly, may be blocky, may be soulless, may be lots of things. But mine runs. She runs clean; she runs dirty. She runs with any ammo I feed her. She does exactly what she was designed to do, and she does it every time.

I always said I'd never own a plastic gun until a friend handed me his G-23 at the range one day. "Just try it with one magazine."

Was love at first magazine and I haven't looked back. I still have revolvers, and I've packing a j frame right now, but love Glocks, Kahrs, among others.

Never had that trigger problem but I wouldn't sand the safety lever. I'd get used to it. YMMV. :)

It's a small world and full of coincidences. I am a revolver guy too, and actually prefer SA ones at that. But somehow the other day I ended up trading some other guns I didn't want for a NiB Glock 43. I won't get to shoot it until Wednesday. It feels nice in my hand.
