A Glock for those who HATE Glocks

Murphy would be proud...

Rule 1. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Rule 2. When you think it needs to be "improved", see Rule 1.

Many companies have been "improving" the Glock since it first surprised the "gun experts" with it's wide popularity. S&W, Walther, Sig, H&K, FN, Steyr, and Kahr immediately come to mind.

This is just one more...

In all honesty, it looks... cluttered. {shrug} Someone give us a report when you get to try one.

It may look like a glock but that dont make it as good as a glock. Ill stick with the real thing not the copy cats. Thanks but no thanks. :(

I've handled one, the first time I saw it in my gun dealer's rental place...I said what the hell is that.

Felt ok, but didn't really feel or point like a glock. I don't like grip safeties, so that was not a pleasing addition. Funky hybrid.

Well, well...

How many of you who have given opinions have actually handled and fired the weapon?

Gees, some of the comments remind me of what folks USED TO SAY when Glock first came out.

Innovation should never stop. That's how we got a Glock instead of throwing rocks...

Any idea what the going rate is on one? I followed one of HS's links to a dealer that has it for $360. I kinda like what I see, would be nice to handle and shoot one. Any idea if they might come out with a .45?

looks like a glock and a sig got drunk one night and this came out 9 months later.
would like to fire it just to see, but i bet it wont point as good as either glock or sig.

Is it just me or does anybody else think the engineers at HS Arms simply decided to interbreed Glock 23 and Sig P229/228?

Well, only time will show if the offspring's inherited the best of the both worlds...

I agree with Skorzeny.
I thought the Steyr was the Glock for those who hate Glocks.
I don't care much for the looks of the HS, but I am not going to count it out just yet. If it is durable, and accurate, and is priced right, who knows. It might actually be a good pistol. And with the way Glock prices have inflated over the last year, maybe its time for some healthy competition.

9x19, don't diss those "improved Glocks" so fast. At least I like my Walther P99 better than a Glock 17... Sometimes those "improvements" actually are improvements! (Well, for some of us anyway. To each his own, right?)

"To each his own, right?"

Absolutely! As a matter of fact, I'll be looking for a good deal on P99 at the show this weekend.

I haven't found a deal on a used one yet, but when I do, I'll have to give it a try. I don't exclude all the other handguns without first trying them. But I haven't yet found anything better for me.

I shoot IDPA with the fellow who imports
these. He has been using one for the better
part of a year. We went through Ken Hackathorn's two day pistol class together..
he used the gun in question.
I guess I've seen him put a couple of thouand
rounds through it. No problems, no malfunctions. By all indications, a good and
reliable gun.

Hey, Sport

The gentleman who imports these is based in Knoxville. May I presume that you are a fellow Knoxvillian, or at least, East Tennessean? If so, drop me a line.

Had a chance to shoot one when they first came out. Accurate and functional. No problems at all. Don't notice the grip safety. My recollection was you could not cycle the slide without depressing the grip safety. This prevents the slide from retractng on reholstering, if I recall correctly.

Let me know when this weapon completes the barage of tests the Glock has been through (military trials, FBI trials, etc.)...if it passes, I *may* think about it...
