A few issues with a new Hornady LNL

Used to get the POP when I was over-crimping. I find with 9MM and .45 ACP, neck tension is all I need. My 9MM I crimp to .379.

I do sort my pistol brass so that each 50 I load are the same length.

My brass has been wet tumble cleaned with Armor-All wax and a case full of Lemishine.

I have some issues with this thread.
1) the OP has never said what cartridge was being loaded
2) Taper crimp or roll crimp?
3) Mention of "taper" at station 2, I believe refers to the expander. It is never needed on an LnL AP, since the powder measure can do the expanding. With lead bullets an M-die might demand a station, but that is not a Hornady die.
4)I wondered if the "pop" might actually be coming from the expander releasing a case.
5)I concur with the advice to reset the die following the instructions exactly. Brass particles in the die is a pretty sure sign of severe crimping and/or variable case length.

As general note. I always sort my brass by head stamp in an attempt to get consistent case dimensions and then ammo quality results for a given die adjustment.

1. 45 ACP
2. Taper Crimp
3. I am not using the PTX feature. I am expanding with a dedicated die. It doesn't seem to be hanging up at all at that station. I have isolated it to the taper crimp/seating die.

Variable case lengths I think is a definite possibility here as all of my brass is mixed, and I have not segregated it in any way so far.

It seems that op has isolated the problem to the one die. Maybe just taking that die totally apart, give it a good cleaning, and start over with it would solve things.
Although I still think that totally backing off the crimp part of the die would also help to isolate the problem.

What egd said. I'd bet you have some brass particles inside that die if it's leaving some on the shell plate. Clean and reset it with uniform brass.
