A Different Approach

Well if Rick Perry had his way...

Colt, Remrington, S&W, Winchester, Savage, H&R, S&W, etc...would all be in Texas by now.

Most of them have UNIONS to worry about and that makes it difficult for them to move.

For, you see, 'free state' means more than just free to own guns. In Texas we have the right to work without Unions forcing us to pay dues, lots of other states don't.

Deaf, I couldn't have said it better myself! :D

In addition to STI (the boys in Georgetown make some mighty fine 1911s) we also have LaRue Tactical for those interested in really nice ARs.

And the inevitable injection of politics rears its head.

FN Manufacturing located in Columbia, SC provides a number of manufacturing services. As for firearms made for FNH, they produce M16 rifles, M249 light machine guns, M240 medium machine guns, and FNP pistols.

That's not politics, it is a real reality reason as to why certain companies haven't moved or set up NEW operations where they did. If you notice where most have set up new operations, like AZ, NC, etc. one of the primary reasons was the open-shop business climate (along with all of the typical incentives)

Are you even kidding here?

Second sentence of the original post didn't just "inject" politics, it opened a thread for the specific purpose of discussion that centers entirely around them.
