A couple newbie shotgun questions...

I'm sorry I was given a Rem. 1100 2 3/4 with a short barrel and it will shoot skeet and trap better than most guys with Benelli's I compete against and it almost 40yrs. old!!! Have confidence in yourself and your abilities and it is possible....Well either that or my friends can't shoot...that's possible too...
 
Anthony, I went to Silver Dollar sporting clay range to shoot some five stand. I pulled out the old remington 1100 that I modified to compete in threegun matches with. Every jaw dropped when they saw my shotgun, one old timer even saying "you gonna use that thing to shot five stand". I lied and said that it was all I had (I wanted to practice with it plus test it for reliability, new seals). Looks aside its just a shotgun. I procede to shoot 25 out of 25 and won a silverdollar.......cool idea getting a silver dollar from silver dollar. I didn't have anyone wanting to trade in their citori's for my 1100 but they were pleasantly suprised to say the least.

BTW I haven't shot better than 23/25 since go figure.
 
What is the difference between the Reming 1100 and the 11-87? All I know is they're both semi-auto shotguns, with the 11-87 being the newer one.
