A Call for Positive Range Reports - Contest

This one may be a little different, but it was the most important range trip of my life.

I was 22, and had just gotten back to college after being away for a couple of years. I was staying on a friends floor until I could find a place to live. We had gone to the gun store my first day back in town, and I had bought a Browning Buckmark. (Remember the $50 mail in rebate :) )

A girl who was a friend of my buddy came by to visit him right as we were heading off to the range (I had met her briefly before). She asked what we were doing and we told her. She had never shot a gun before, and was curious. I invited her along (always looking to teach more folks about guns). She thought that it sounded fun, so I gave her the "4 Rules" lecture, and off we went.

We had a great time, I showed her how to use the .22, and she did pretty well on the 50 foot indoor range. After we had went through a brick of .22 we went to the out side range and she shot my .40 Ruger. She was a little scared of the recoil after watching me shoot it, but after she had fired a round she looked at me with this great big grin and said "Holy Moly." She was then hooked.

Afterwards we went for a hike, and then watched Ultimate Fighting Championships that night(her idea) :D The next night I found out that she was as good as I was at trivial pursuit. That settled it, she was just too cool.

A few months latter we where engaged, and three months after that we were married. :D

Not a normal range report, but it was my most important. By far.
