9x23 Win

The reason I mentioned the .357 Ring of Fire in this thread is only that it's (apparently) based on the 9x23 Winchester case -- and then loaded far hotter than Winchester 9x23 ever dreamed of going. Is this a good idea? Who knows? It seems to me if the marketplace thought there was a need for a hotter 9mm cartridge, the 9x23 wouldn't be languishing in near obscurity.

I can only say that I experimented with things like Cooper's Super 9, "driving little bullets to ever-higher velocities", because I've always been ballistically curious. I didn't set out to prove anything by doing this. Having read what Col. Cooper wrote about this cartridge, I was just indulging my curiosity. Strictly fun, interesting to me, hobby stuff. No other agenda;)

PS, I do hate autocorrect sometimes.
