9mm vs .38/.357 at the range

I'm much more accurate , even when rapid firing, with a .357 revolver than a semi 9 mm. Way it is.

All 9 mm's , are not less recoil that a .357, all depends upon the guns not the ammo or caliber.

my Glock 17 is almost as accurate as my 4" Ruger GP-100 with careful slow target fire, including the use of a sandbag ... and Glocks are supposed to be merely "combat accurate".

Now my super red hawk with a 9 inch barrel and a scope is the most accurate handgun I own. With a sandbag, I can make 1" groups at 50 yards.

But when it comes time to put 5 rounds on target in 3 seconds, I am much more accurate with that Glock than I am with any of my wheel guns. Same with my 1911.

For me 9mm have always been less accurate than the same guns in 40 or 45 most of the time I can not get much better than a 3" group off of sand bags at 25yd with a 9mm and usually get sub 2" groups with 40 and 45. A good 38sp revolver will usually group close to 1" at 25yd with ammo it likes. I have tried a lot of different 9mms and they just don't shoot as accurate as other calibers (at least for me YMMV). :D
