FN HERSTAL FNS 9MM
SMITH AND WESSON MP9
SPRINGFIELD ARMORY XD 9 SERVICE

Part time work Armed Security gigs. I leaning toward SW MP9.

Thoughts opinions welcomed

I voted but shouldn't have. I have fired the m&p and hated it. I have no experience with the Springfield or the FN. I voted for the FN because I have seen quality firearms come from them and I've always wanted to try the fns series.

I own them all. Honestly, they're all excellent. I think the FNS has the better trigger. The XD is the most accurate in my hands. And the M&P (the one for which I voted) just generally feels the best in my hands. But there isn't a bad one in the bunch. It would be hard to go wrong with any of them.

Ty

I do honestly ty all. I am always learning. Have so much to learn. Here on the firing line we all share a common bond. Love to shoot. Believe deeply in our 2nd amendment right. The grip on FNS9 rough. The MP like a glove. XD well not bad

...

Part time yes. Only allowed to carry one. No back up. Narrowed down to three by shopping. What I like. Like buying Car A little bit so to speak.

The M&P is American made and is police force proven, but probably has the worst trigger

I have never shot an fn pistol or or XD, but the XD is a seriously tough and well designed pistol. Extremely strong pistol as well. The .45 version is approved for the Rowland conversion. I voted XD because honestly it has been around the longest and in my opinion the most reliable. I don't like them thT much but respect them

Which one fits your hand best? Which can you shoot best? Remembering that you'll be carrying the thing far longer than shooting it.
Grips don't really count as they're easy and relatively cheap to change. Trigger don't count either as all factory triggers are poor due to frivolous law suits. Easily fixed too though.
"...Like buying Car..." Yep. One's pretty much the same as the next.

They are all fine pistols. I would go with the one that catches your fancy. When looking at similar pistols, go with the one that seems to fit you the best.

Not a huge fan of polymer duty style weapons in the first place but I have shot all three of these. Springfield are comfortable shooters but are bulky and ugly as sin. FN was fine, but no better than the other two and not worth the extra in price. M&p has the lowest bore axis, is more egronomic, for me, and are dead reliable. None of these are highly accurate guns so that does not really factor into the equation.
There are others I would prefer over all three of these but since you limited it to these, I will leave it at that.

From your list I like both the M&P and FNS and have them in my second tier of striker fired models. They are similar in quite a few ways like having similar hinged triggers and safety levers as options, etc. Both have pretty comfortable grips for my hand/s with the the FNS having a more aggressive texture.

For me the main difference is that the M&P has some aftermarket support and the FNS is fully ambidextrous. The few models that I've shot each I was always a little better with the FNS accuracy wise.

I put them pretty much as equals.

All nice guns, I have nothing to add that hasn't already been added other than to take a look at Buds guns qualified proffesional discounts. You can save a noticeable amount of cash on that M&P for example.

I don't like any of the three. I feel like there is an abundance of better 9mm handguns out there than those. If the FNX-9 were an option then I would've voted for that.
