Not saying you couldn't kill somebody, but 130yds?? Why would you even try?
you do know Lynard Skynard was wrong there are more uses for handguns than killing people.and because I can

)n the 1930's, Ed McGiverns, regularly shot...

a .38spl @ 200yds. When the .357Mag appeared he upped the range to 600yds.

I have used my 5" .45 & 4" ..357 @ 100 yds for deer back-up when carrying a muzzleloader for regular firearms season.

Elmer Keith used a 6 1/2 inch S&W .44 Magnum to kill a bull elk at 600 yards. He didn't connect with every round, but every round that did connect went all the way through.

Shooting a pistol at a target 100-130-200 etc. yards away is great fun. I regularly put a clay pigeon on the berm at 100 yards and plink at it with my model 10. I even hit it occasionally - getting close is common.
I've yet to try a 9mm. I suspect that it might be a lot easier with a 9.

I regularly shoot my Glock 34 and my Ruger Vaquaro's (5 1/2" 44 mag, 200 gr lead, flat round nose) at our 100meter & 200meter range marker plates (about 2' x 3' plates):D

Its good fun, especially when folks start going on about handguns not being accurate over so many yards :D the look on their face is priceless.

From the sound of the projectile hitting the plate (as compared to hitting a plate at 25meters) I would think you would be lucky to 'drop' or kill something at the 200 range, but I'm sure it would hurt! :D and I definately wouldn't volunteer to try being hit to find out..... I am pretty sure it would still be lethal.
