9MM Confession

Munk,

what I meant was that I have dug quite a few non-expanded 9mm hollowpoints out of people. I dont think I have ever seen a non-expanded 357 mag hollowpoint. They are either mushroomed nicely, or in pieces.

My personal conclusion is that expansion from 9mm JHP is a lot more iffy than expansion from 357 mag JHP's.

I am sure there are stats published in the gun rags that would refute my claim, but seeing is believing.

I agree 9mm is a good round, but its not a 357 magnum, IMO.

9mm

as for a persons like or dislike of certain calibers i think personally it boils down to one owns taste.for sure a 9mm will do the same thing a 40,45 or even 357. for me it's just a matter of what feels good.
i tend to like a larger lower velocity caliber such as the 45 but i just got back from the range and used a 9mm all night.i like that one too!!!

You're killin' me George!

New_comer where did you get that vintage 9, it looks sturdy. Are you using that for competition or just sleeping in your collection closet.:)

Book of Kodiak

Neither shalt thou suffer evil to threaten thee except that thou shalt smite it full well with the Holy Hardball of 1911, from which it shall not recover.

Heed these words.

A masterpiece, George. Truly enjoyable.

However...

With all churches, including the "Church of the Tactical Truth", as well as another Church we both know...one must separate doctrine from culture.

I believe the true doctrine is that St. John did not specify .45acp as the one true caliber, for he had many children, including some cartridges which still bear his name to this day in Europe.

The caliber for the 1911 was actually specified by THE GOVERNMENT! Yes! The worldly ones, the same who specified the Krag, the Brewster Buffalo and the Sherman tank.

Meanwhile the works of St. John did continue, and in the end, his works did include the P-35...in 9mm...

So render unto Ceaser the things of Ceaser, and render unto St. John the (many) things of St. John...

::ahem:: I believe you meant:

render unto Caesar the things of Caesar.

Proper latin pronunciation is more similar to the German Kaiser, than the English Caesar, though the English spelling is better.

Moreover, it's "Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's..."-Matthew 22:21

Sorry to be picky, but schools don't teach latin, or religion anymore. And i've got to share the knowledge somehow.

LOL!

Yes, with your screen name I guess you do need to correct that!

And I did not have my scriptures handy to get the scriptural reference correct.

Thanks, Caesar.

I had a BDM. For about a month. For the record, I am a Browning fan- 3, sorry 2 pistols and 2 rifles. I found the BDM to have 2 main plusses and 1 negative.

plusses:

1. Felt great in the hand. It was very slim.

2. The revolver/auto mode switch was a really neat feature, though the trigger in either mode wasn't all that. But neither is the Hi-Power. I could have lived with it.

negatives:

1. Everything else about the gun.

Goerge,
I thought we had an earth quake up here...but looking at the time of your "tactical surmon" post....that had to have been it.
I am only 50 miles from you...shoot well
