9mm approved for duty carry. Armed security

"...no one wanted it..." Understandable considering it'll be carried a lot but fired little. Heavy SOB, so it is.
"...Our company approved 9mm..." They give you a budget too? Kind of important. Moreso than anything else.
"...Full size or Compact..." Difference is roughly 3 ounces. Probably won't make much difference. The Glock 19 is very close in dimensions and weight, but getting "a deal" would seal it for me.
CF is switching slowly to SIG 226's. They all look the same to me.

You might take a look at the Ruger SR9 series.
They are usually priced at well under the manufacturer's retail suggested price.
Especially the new discounted SR9E series, if there's budget considerations.

I have a Sig P250c 40sw which is a hammer fired version of the P320. My P250 had been reliable with various ammo with different weights and power.

In other words, it eat 'em all.

3) Blue Label pricing. I don't know whether you would all qualify for it or not, but it's hard to beat a NIB Glock at BL prices. I don't know what the current BL pricing is, so you'd need to check into that. With that said, I'd also check with the other companies and see if they have similar programs

The 17/19/22/23 are all hovering right around $400 +\- $10 for Blue Label.

Picked up a Glock 42 for my Fiancée for $346 out the door on Blue Label. Definitely a great program if you are able to take advantage of it.

If I didn't already have the holsters, mags, thousands of rounds(and time) invested in training, and other accoutrements for 9mm Glocks, things that set me back as much or more than the actual firearm, I would probably buy a P320.

If I was trying to outfit 12+ people with a firearm that would work for all of them I would probably get a Glock, especially in a security outfit where they aren't likely to be used all that often.
Everyone being able to find a holster that fits well is probably going to be far more of a challenge.
Lots of options for the P320 and will be plenty more over the next few years. I would expect some to be at a premium.

I've heard Glock isn't fond of such things :)
Assuming it was a gift and she didn't pay anything for the gun I don't think ATFE cares, but I believe they have prosecuted people getting discounts for friends through straw buys in the past.

CHRIS VA

The selection process had everyone involved on my staff. From experience to range. It came to Glock 19 and Sig P320.

Sig was voted on unanimously. The Glock 19 is less. 27.00 dollars a gun. Our district supported for Sig. Although more expensive. The night sights was why. Now just gotta get VP to sign off. He is an avid Sig 226 and Glock 32 357 Sig guy. We are waiting
