as you can see, a bunch of 1911's are out there in 9mm, Llama made one, and you can easily get springfield, caspian and para frames all day long relatively cheap and have a 9mm top end mated to it. Pretty much if it's available in 38 super, it is also available in 9mm, the barrel is so similar, you can just get a gunsmith to install one.
