9mm 1911 at a bargain

I have a Dan Wesson PM9, Smith and Wesson Pro and a Springfield Loaded 1911A1. They really run good. I would have a hard time picking a favorite. They are all reliable and accurate. I am always on the lookout for 1911s in 9mm. I am fortunate to have several in 45 acp also. The 1911 is really a great design. I do NOT ccw one though. For that, I want more capacity and use a Sig P938 or P320.

I would really like to see Ruger field one. I know I would have to get one.

I have owned both the RIA tactical 9MM 1911 ($479 nib) & the STI Spartan ($579 NIB) The RIA was by far the better value, just as accurate, more reliable & built every bit as good.

I have a full size RIA tactical in 9mm that has been flawless and is very accurate. I ordered it through Gallery of Guns and my out the door cost was just under $500. It is my favorite gun and it shoots, feels and aims just like my Ruger 22/45 Target except it has mild recoil. The lifetime warranty is said to be great. The company president participates on the Rock Island Armory group on Facebook. I would choose the same gun again without a second thought.

I would say ask yourself why you want 1911 in 9mm. Less mag capacity, heavy then need to be but not necessarily more accurate! I have 2 full size RIA 9mms, they are not more accurate than my other 9mms, but sure is cheaper than shooting .45!

Gyvel offered a good suggestion, buy the Colt for $800 and you will have a pistol that not only functions well, is accurate and will hold it's value forever.
