.. I don't understand why you call Bush "your phoney president." Seems like just named calling to me. I also fail to understand how domestic policies you disagree with suddenly turn unrelated foreign policies into Empire building.
Well, if you are not familiar with my overall opinion on this subject - Tony Blair has likely been the senior partner in this venture for reasons I could digress on. George Bush is about as loyal to this country as his other cronies Vicente Fox and Paul Martin.

Trip20 falls over on the term rational. You can not claim that your country is threatened by a group of well-financed and educated people - to the extent that "they want to destroy us" - and go off half way around the world to "install democracy" (a destructive system in any case) in a country - while leaving the nation's borders wide open and potentially thousands of "terrorists" or those likely to be connected to them running around freely ... and be viewed as rational.

For the nation's highest ranking Executive to do this is either irrational or disloyal. I would contend the latter; and it is no surprize to me that Pinnochio and his chums Fox and Martin are touting a "common perimeter" and intros to a Pan American State as "common databases" etc.

Pinnochio - portraying himself as acting in our national interests of security is as phoney as is his acting relationship with Vicente Fox and Paul Martin.

You're telling me immigration is a side issue, then you go on a rant about what a big problem immigration is. If you have another issue with Bush's domestic anti-terrorism policy, tell me what it is.
Seeing as you can not make the connection using reason and logic let me spell it out slowly for you.

Open borders, and having millions of migrant people here and more streaming in freely from corrupt third world countries like, but not exclusively Mexico, is bad news for several different reasons and imminently dangerous from the context of the subject matter.

Each reason distinctly different - but inseparably tied to the fact that;

a) There are millions of people who have migrated here of unknown origin, identity, background and intent.

b) There are thousands more pouring in on a daily basis.
Are you implying that the immigrants are the ones doing crack? In all the crack neighborhoods I've been in, the only ones on crack were the Americans.
Oh yes Wayne! All fifteen million of them!! :eek:
Are you saying the immigrants are the ones bringing the crack here? I can't see where all Jose-on-the-lawn-crew's money is going. I don't think drugs funds paid for his bicycle or his $300 a month trailer
This is not really a digression - since drug smuggling is inextricably tied to terrorism. But tell me Wayne ... are you saying that no hispanics that have migrated back and forth across the border are drug smugglers? Arms smugglers? People with criminal backgrounds?

If the answer to that is, "No I am not"; tell me how many of them? How many are gang members? How many are in state and federal prisons in this country on charges of violent crimes, drug offenses, arms smuggling etc.

How do you verify the criminal backgrounds and connections of people from third world countries like Mexico and S America, Africa etc with corrupt governments?

Jose mowing lawns is likely not the conduit for contraband; the problem is that Jose is just one of what is conservatively estimated at "ten million" people of various nationalities and thousands coming in daily.

By your reason and logic airlines should only worry about security and vetting people at boarding gates - but let anyone that pleases on the tarmac outside and onto aircraft ... as long as "they look like they are there to work".
