7-08 deer load

Well the 145 Speer BTSP worked perfectly on a big north Texas doe. Hit a couple inches behind the shoulder mid chest the entrance hole being just a bit bigger than bore diameter centering a rib and exiting with a nice big 2 inch hole. I saw blood coming out the far side in a mist when I shot. Normal 30 yard dash with a blood trail anyone could follow in the dark. I'd say she weighed around 110 pounds before I shot her. Perfect freezer deer.

What bullet weight? 760 is on the slow side for the 7-08.

Sorry for the late reply

I use Nosler 140 Ballistic Tips and out of my 18.5" Rem Model 7, I can get 3 shots in 1" or less @ 100 yards. remember, that is a short, pencil-thin barrel.
