67 out of 67 Florida counties counted... Bush holds 362 vote lead!!!!

Actually, since I posted this, there has been some confusion as to how many counties have been counted. Some people are saying that only 64 counties have been counted. That's okay, the last three counties were won by Bush by pretty big numbers.

Hearing now that there are over 1 million absentee ballots from service personnel in Kalifornia that have yet to be counted.

CNN is showing 65 out of 67 counties with bush up by 225. I wish this was over with already....

There is no way of knowing how accurate these numbers might be. I find them rather suspect. They do not come from official sources. They may be numbers with an agenda.

California does not have one-million servicemen(women) voting by absentee. I gather that the number is about right, but they aren't military.

A 225 vote margin with 2 districts remaining is NOT good news. Some people are saying that a good many of the absentee ballots from Florida have already been received and counted in the numbers announced so far.

This does not look good.

Srry to be slightly pessimistic but Gore can still win. Though that is highly unlikely to happen legaly given the absentee vote of which I remember hearing anothe 500 or so are poised to come in ( let's hope they make it) . Unless the Dems are willing to steal the election...... They have piosed tremselves to do so should the oppotunity arise...

I think we should take a look at the election map... see those blue states?
We dont need those blue states...

I say we build walls and baricades.

EXCUSE ME.... :) I'm in a blue state ( NY ) and sure as hell didn't vote for Gore. Or Hitlery for that matter. and if you decide to build walls I want out!

Folks, if Gore can make up 1500 votes in a recount when recounts typically only reaffirm initial figures, and with hand counts being LESS accurate than computer counts, Gore is not asking for a recount, but another opportunity to gain victory through dishonest means.

And if he doesn't get it to work with a recount, he'll try to get it in the courts.

I wouldn't be surprised if 1as we speak, members of the Gore campaign are trying to convince members of the electoral college to go against the people they represent for the first time in histor--just in case the courts don't go his way either.

The longer this goes on, the more opportunity Gore has to steal this thing, and there's nothing we can do but watch.

Trust no one.

Especially not the media.

None of the numbers that anyone is getting are "official." I'll wait 'til Tuesday to get too excited about any numbers from any of these networks.

Don't forget the electoral college meeting in mid December. Gore could slime his way into the White House yet...

Take heart. The FLA Sec. of State reported that at the end of the recount the Bush margin was 1784 votes. That does not include the overseas ballots which have not been received yet. The Sec. has said they will not declare a winner until all of those overseas ballots received within the ten day limit have been counted.

If you're not a little upset with the way the world is going, you're not paying attention.

I saw the individual listing of counties and recount numbers about five hours ago. This list had three counties yet to be counted. Polk, Manatee and another I can't recall. All three had counts from the original tally that showed Bush had won them by roughly 55% to 45% (these numbers contained only Bush and Gore and excludes the others).

So, the three remaining counties are strongly in the Bush corner...

Unknown how many absentee ballots have already been counted and how many have yet to be.

John,

It's my understanding that the 1700+ vote lead is with only 53 of the 67 districts officially reporting. 13 of the remaining 14 districts, according to the AP, narow the lead to only 229 votes. How this large a swing could occur is a mystery to me.

Don't mean to rain on the parade, but we are close to potentially losing this thing...

I thought that there was only one county left to re-count, and it was Seminole county. And it is heavily in favor of Bush with a 20,000 vote lead....?

jdthaddeus, pittspilot:

Actually, Seminole county is showing *no change* in the vote count. Unfortunately, this means there is *no gain* for GWB - which means that Gore's gains stand. GWB is only ahead by 229... :(
