6 inches off at 7 yards!?

When the army changed to berettas 9mm from the 1911 I hated mine. The fixed sights were terrible. For qualifying, l remember having to aim at the right shoulder of the silhouette target at 25 meters to hit the X ring.

I'm sure the fixed sights are off centered. Measuring with calipers would confirm the misalignment. If not , look at a shooters wheel and correct as necessary.
 
Just to be absolutely certain, I shot it on a bench rest today and it's still shooting way right. I called the store and they said they'd give me store credit. It's either a lemon or somebody dropped it or abused it in some way.
