.45 ACP Wheelgun Shooting Steps

1. Pop open adult beverage of choice.

2. Turn on sporting event of choice.

3. Load full moon clips (don't drop cartridges in beer, doesn't tast good)

4. Next day go to range with loaded clips and S&W 1917 (or wheelgun of choice).

5. Fire six, open cylinder, drop empty moon clip in bag, insert full moon clip in gun, fire six.....repeat as needed.

6. Go home

7. Open adult beverage of choice.

8. Turn on Sportscenter

9. unload moon clips (don't drop empties in beer, tastes worse than a loaded cartridge, don't ask how I know that).

10. Plan next trips to range.

You are correct on that, it's the way it's been done for years.

Decided to pull the trigger on the Blackhawk today. The trigger is not as crisp as I would like, but I think that can be remedied.

Oh BOY!! Took it out and ran a bunch of reloads I had laying around through it. I really like this gun.But... I really think I want to take it in to get the trigger re-done.

I saw an interesting .45 acp revolver the other day at my LGS. It was a Colt Single Action Army, blued, 4.75 inch barrel chambered in .45 acp, not Colt. It is not a convertible. I would like to own it but it is in the neighborhood of 1700 dollars plus. They don't put it in the case because somebody would turn the cylinder for sure. If I bought it I would turn the cylinder and shoot the thing. But I won't. An odd beast for sure.
