as much as I hate it when someone removes the service stocks and replaces them with sporter stocks I dont think I'll worry about it that much. this is going to be a fun gun rather than a cabinet queen so I'll just stick with it. my brother-in-law is really big into woodworking and carpentry so if it does turn out to be spray painted black I'll just zip strip it and have my brother-in-law help me refinish it, were enfields packed in oil like the old mosin nagants or were they varnished?
