45 colt for cc

.45 Colt for Concealed Carry.

Taurus used to make a snub nose five shot in Titanium. I had one for about two years and could manage the size OK but the recoil was too strong and the cylinder liked to lock up periodically. I was surprisingly light weight.

I had a 450 Titanium Taurus and at 19 ounces it was easy to carry but I did not like the porting the the action would bind-up. A five shot .45 Colt snub nose makes a lot of sense as it is a low pressure round and is pre-expanded 11.5mm so a good hard cast with a large meplat at even 800 fps would put a hurt on a B/G.

Mine gets a bit of carry time and has not bound up or failed me at the range -I've had it for about 10 years - maybe 200 rounds through it.

The 45 Colt is my favorite caliber! You can get it as hot as a 44 magnum or as "light" as a 45 ACP. And there is an excellent selection of platforms to choose from. I own 3 and would (will!) buy more as the opportunities present.
