The longer sight radius, possible accuracy increase, and improved velocities of the 6" are offset for me by the 4" being so much more handy. I have a S&W Model 28-2 that I can deer hunt with and then CC with the next day, what more could a person want? Good as a 6" may be, the 4" is still plenty accurate and powerful for my needs. As the old Russian saying goes: "Better is the enemy of good enough." A 6" may be better for hunting and target shooting but that's about it. The 4" is good enough for everything.
