4 guns need 1 general purpose for SD.

I've noticed that Laserlyte has a new laser offering, where the rear sight is replaced with a combined sight/laser unit. This may eventually broaden your selection of pistols beyond what Crimson Trace and others offer as grip-based lasers, though the ad says the new RSL is only available for Glocks this year.

I thought I made it clear why I wanted one gun. If some one is willing to pay for my ammo bill, I will gladly shoot all of them. And I do reload but its getting costly to and I have been able to get primers for 4 months now. On the G23, I think it is a fine gun and I do practice keeping my finger off the trigger but I had my life threaten and a person run up on me. I had my gun drawn and my finger on the trigger and didn't even realise it. I was pretty scared during and afterwards. I had almost fired when I didn't mean to. Easy for all you gun shop commandos to say it was a lack of training but how many of you have been is a real life threating situation? Anyways that got me to thinking if I were not alert, still asleep or what ever that a GLOCK or 1911 might not be the best choice for me.
I tried a P250 and don't mind the DAO but I had some light primer stikes and some times if I tried fire fast I would not let all the way out on the trigger. It has a very light rebound spring compared to a revolver so you must let off completely with your finger to reset the trigger. If the subcompact ever comes out, I will have to look at it again.
I thought about the P239 but I like the rail option for a light at home. I shoot better with both hands on the gun not one holding a flashlight. And who ever chimed in about pointing your gun in the dark, well you obviously haven't used one of the new gun lights. They are so bright they'll light up a whole room and you don't have to be pointing directly at some one. If you do they won't be able to look directly at you without going temporary blind.
I will look into the CZ PO1, can some one tell me if the DA trigger reach is long? I had a CZ75, great gun but the trigger was way too far forward for me to reach for the 1st shot in DA. Also is the PO1 kinda of chunky? The one and only gun shop here doesn't carry and CZ's. I like the P229 but its too big and heavy for everyday CC. It would be so good on hot days when Im wearing shorts and flip flops. I wonder if one of the new limited P228's with a rail would be any better? Its still the same size but I thinks its 8 oz lighter.

I have. With my Glock. I still contend your training needs work.

I can tell by your post you've givin' this a great deal of thought...good, I like people who look at every angle of a situation. I whould ask you to think about adding a Springfield XD40,either subcompact or 4" service model. I could prattle on like a salesman sayin' how great they are but I'll let you do your own research. As my Drill Sgt. used to say...Good luck, and good hunting.
