Perhaps you did not read my reply carefully enough or you would have had your answer long ago. Converting grains to slugs (as I mentioned previously) takes into account acceleration due to gravity as the units of the slug are in lb x s^2/ft. Given an acceleration constant of 32.1ft/s^2, if you do the dimensional analysis correctly, you will come to the correct units when converting to slugs.
