.38+ v. .357 in a snubby

Carbon15: is that "Remington Golden Saber" a .38+P, or a .357? And I assume that's a 125grain, but can you confirm?

Your comments on frangibles agrees with my thinking - they need speed.

It seems from my testing a while back and from what I read here that velocities vary ALOT in snubbies....obviously speed differs from gun to gun and from ammo to ammo...but what Im getting at is the slightest increase in barrel length seems to help velocity considerably.....
Carbon 15 has FPS under 1100 from his 1 7/8" barrel....We got 1200+ FPS from a couple of 2 1/4" barrels from 125gr JHP's.....
Its not a hell of alot, but up to 450 FPE....around the better 9mm loads and touching on 40 S&W data.....
Just thought it was worth mentioning...it may be worth finding the longer barrel when looking for a snubbie......seems to work.
Shoot well

Keep in mind Eric, the Remington .357 G-S is a Mid-Velocity load to start with. It is factory rated at 1200fps from a 4inch barrel. With full power .357 125's (1450fps from a 4inch) I am also getting velocities in the 1200 range.
