.38 Smith & Wesson .38 Special CTG. Blue 4"

i sincerely hope that bronzecannons has kept his late mom’s bedside piece. please let us know.

if me, i would replace (& keep safe) the oem wooden grips with aftermarket rubber grips, buy a couple of speedloaders and every few months put some practice rounds through it. lay in a small stash of ammo, keep it clean and very lightly oiled; it will protect your unborn grandchildren as well as it protected your late mom.

I'd be happy to have a fine gun like that in my collection. That gun is far more than just a revolver, though, because it's a connection to a deceased family member, and therefore priceless.

Every time I find myself looking at a "38" anything, my wife will ask me, "Is that a 38 Special or a regular 38?" Then I have to go through the explanation all over again (She had a brain injury a number of years ago now, and it's hurt her short term memory. Unless it involves something I've done or haven't done. Then she remembers EVERYTHING).
