38 + P spec for a 2" snub

PS: I no longer carry a 38 but when I did it was loaded with my own creation using 125 JHP (Remington or Winchester) bullets at a clocked 1,100 FPS from my 2" S&W. I know there are arguments against home brewed ammo for SD but I doubt it would be an issue in a justified shooting where I live. I might reconsider if I lived in a less gun friendly state.

Is there no love for 148 grain wadcutters?
I've carried them in snubbies rated for standard pressure only. I just think the Gold Dots out perform them in +P.

The Remington +P LSWCHP Webleymkv referred to are a fall back for me from a snubby. I really like them from my four inch barreled revolvers which are regulated for 158 gr. bullets (they have good terminal ballistics as well).

BTW, it does matter who makes the 158 gr. LSCWCHP rounds, especially from a snubby. Take a look at the difference in the round made by Remington (on the left) and Winchester (on the right) when fired from a snubby into water: http://hipowersandhandguns.com/Image42.jpg. That's from Stephen A. Camp's article at http://hipowersandhandguns.com/38 Special 158gr LSWCHP.htm.

I came up with a solution thanks to a Sr. Member from GA. I loaded 3 - 38+P spec Hornady 110 gr. CD loads( I tried the Golden Sabers) followed by 3 - 357 Hornady 125 gr CD loads. This allowed me to rapid fire accurately, not worry about initial recoil and low flash.
Thanks everyone for their participation and comments.
