338 lapua shooting concrete cinder blocks!

Sure did! I like to keep the country clean, that's why I don't shoot glass out here because there is no way to get all the pieces. Thanks for watching!

I shot an antelope with one at 500 yards in 2011. Everything inside from the liver on up looked like cherry jello. It knocked the buck back about 6 feet...

I actually shot a cinder block at 1000 yards too the same day, but my camera got too hot and crapped out. At 1000 yards the Berger OTM's barely put a 1/4" dent in the thing. I shot it about 5 times too because I was expecting to see that thing crumble in my scope. Now I'm looking into some good brass solids that I know will do the job at 1000 yards. The Berger's just don't cut it for hard targets.

Another good video from you! Thanks!

I am really intersted in the .338 Lapua Magnum. Your videos keep my interest up.

Be well
Bob

I completely agree it should be more than 1/4" dents. My spotter saw the hits as did I see big white puff clouds, I'm loading up more rounds tomorrow and I'll be doing it again real early in the morning so my target camera doesn't over heat and I can get a good look at the impacts. When looking at the cinder block it looks like actual hits, not ricochet but hey I could be wrong. I'm sure some copper solids will do the trick, they are non expanding unlike the Bergers.

Thanks oceanbob! The 338 is my favorite rifle so far, lots of fun!

Mr smarty pants here has to remind everyone that a .338 cant leave a quarter inch hole in a hard target, it can however leave a .338" hole... (.338>.25)

He didn't say that it left a 1/4" hole.... He said it left a dent in the block to a depth of 1/4"....

Sorry, that's me being Mr smarty pants ;)
