32 H&R vs 327 fed mag

(Correction: They're Eagle Secret Service grips.)

My apologies on the 4" barrel confusion. I was reading .327 for some reason.

I like to looks of a 4" barrel on the SP101, however.

Now, just get me one with fully adjustable sights on a 4" .327!

I carry mine in a Simply Rugged holster, OWB.

I'm really not sure makes one gun more appealing than the other for the ladies, or anyone else for that matter. If you can find a holster that she would be comfortable with, there's no reason she couldn't carry it. I know some makers tailor their holsters to better fit the female physique, and they're probably worth a look. I think Mitch Rosen is one.

Thanks for the compliment, BTW. I'm really proud of that little gem.

By all means, she does need to be comfortable with the carry gun of choice before you start shopping for leather.

I'm new on this forum as of today but I'm old as for firearms and have been handloading rifle and pistol loads for +40years. I have a .327fed mag. and if your wife is recoil sensitive I wouldn't advise it for her unless she fires one and doesn't mind all the noise and muzzle blast.

My wife shot mine once and I thought she was going to hit me with it. (I told her I was buying it for her).

They will shoot a 100gr bullet at 1500fps which is where a .357mag is with a very hot 100gr load. I love mine and what the rest of the guys here are saying is completely right about the .327 being very versitile.

The 32 H&Rmag may be right up her ally. And you can shoot the .327 out of it yourself for hicks. Who knows, she may like the .327fed.

Put a set of Houge grips on it and it goes from hurting your hand after 3cyls full to just being snappy. I just got a trigger job done on mine, just picked it up today so I haven't got to shoot it yet, but my God, what an improvement.

That is one thing I want to warn you about is the trigger on SP101s are herrendous. A Wilson Combat spring kit for $12.00 changes them to a winner.

Yea, I'm not surprised. I don't think they went over very well for some reason, but the .327mag is a heck of a round and when you can shoot 3 other calibers out of it I'm really surprised.

They will handle about 45,000 lbs of pressure we will never wear a sp101 out in our lifetime.

I have shot the Taurus snubs and was impressed with their accuracy, I have never owned one so I can't comment on them.

Everyone seems to be hung up on the .357mag in the small to med frame pistols but they aren't comfortable to shoot, but like the .327 feds you can shoot .38special out of them and they turn into a pussycat.

I don't like shooting .38specials out of my magnums or 32H&Rs out of my .327mags because of carbon deposits in the cylinder from the case being to short. But they will certainly do it.

If I wanted a .38 special I would buy a .38 special and the same with the .327mag. But that is just me.
